Before you book
What a session feels like
A lymphatic session is quieter than most massage. If you are expecting to feel pressure, you may be surprised by how little there is.
The therapist's hands rest on your skin and move it in slow, light strokes, then repeat. There is no kneading and no pressing into muscle. Some people drift off. Others stay wide awake and talk. Either is fine.
Light strokes at a slow rhythm
A sheet covers you the whole time
Pressure that you set and can change

Four things to know
Light, slow, unhurried
Light strokes
The strokes are shallow, and the hands move the skin rather than pressing into it. If you can feel your muscles being worked, tell us and we will go lighter.
Often a little oil, or none at all
Hands only
A slow rhythm
Each stroke is repeated several times, in the same order, at a pace slower than a walk. There can be long, quiet stretches between words.
Talk, or stay silent
Soft music, or none
How long
Sessions run 45, 60 or 90 minutes. The slow pace is why: a light touch takes longer to cover the same ground.
A few minutes to settle at the start
A few minutes to rest at the end
What to wear
Arrive in anything comfortable. Some sessions work on an arm or a leg, so loose sleeves and trousers that push up easily are handy. You undress as far as you like and a sheet covers you the whole time.
Whatever you keep on, we work around
Take off watches and rings from the area
A few more questions
Will I feel anything?
You will feel gentle touch and a slow rhythm. Most people describe it as calm. It should not hurt; if it does, tell us and we stop.
Can I fall asleep?
Yes. Some people do. We wake you gently at the end.
Can I talk during the session?
Whenever you like. Some clients chat the whole way through and some prefer quiet. We follow your lead.
Come and feel it for yourself.
Book a 45-minute focused session for a first try, or choose a longer one.
